Amen! It was nice to see. The tone of this meeting was much improved. Let's hope it stays that way. Hellman, Mihok, Radosti were not there.

I just watched video of the Dec 5 meeting.

Who in GOD'S name has illegally parked their crappy bucket truck in the MR Reiter parking lot between the playground and Summerseat?
Asking them nicely to move it isn't working. Will public humiliation and shame work???
Also, who in GOD's name told them it was OK to park there? Did they just decide to do it on their own?
I have an old POS car up on blocks in my garage - can I just dump it there too?
Unreal.

I do believe that POS bucket truck belongs to this guy:

Put community above politics and personal interests

Democratic voters in Morrisville's Second Ward have a choice in this primary election on May 17. You can vote to open the door to a better Morrisville or continue on with politics as usual, where politics comes first!
I am running for a seat on our borough council to offer new leadership and restore open government. We live in tough economic times and Morrisville is hurting, too. My goal is to make sure our elected officials spend carefully and keep our taxes down.
In this election I am pitted against a seasoned politician. What successful accomplishments has my opponent Nancy Sherlock initiated in 20 years on borough council? In 2009, she voted against zoning amendments that would have protected our downtown from an adult entertainment business. Fortunately, the amendment passed.
Remember Solkatronics? The company asked the state Department of Environmental Protection for a permit to add production of another dangerous gas. This plan was a major threat to the safety of the surrounding neighborhood. In a special meeting on May 8, 2001, council had to vote to officially require her (Sherlock) to contact our state senator and state representative no later than noon May 9, 2001, to reaffirm the official position of Morrisville Borough Council as stated in the resolution of April 10 and have DEP convene a public hearing on Solkatronic's permit application. The DEP meeting was held, and DEP ultimately denied the permit, but no credit went to Sherlock. On June 6, council voted to reorganize and removed Sherlock as council president.
Twenty years later we are still talking about economic redevelopment and revitalization. It's time for action and a real partnership with the business community. This election is about our future. This is time for a new start.
I ask for your vote May 17 so I can serve Morrisville with honest, good leadership and high standards. Together, we can put our community above politics and personal interests.

Community and revitalization involve parking your junky commercial truck in the parking lot of a permanently closed, abandoned public school while it was run by SOC Central Command? Sounds more like politics and personal interest to me. Move it, creep! You should be ashamed!

Looking at this made me think of the all of the negative stuff this guy had to say about Nancy Sherlock throughout his campaigning. I have no respect at all for this guy because of that stuff. Nobody made him say such nasty things about this woman in an effort to get himself elected, it was all him.

The bucket truck has been parked there for several months. When I saw the truck it looked to me like when it was parked it was backed into the playground fence, which is now in need of repair. The truck isn't even legal to move because it looks like the registration ran out in May of 2010. I wonder if it even runs. I don't usually wish ill of people but I can say that I would no doubt laugh if I heard that he got heavily ticketed when he did finally try to move the truck.

The school district should think about having it towed away at Thomson's expense.

This morning I watched the video of the last sch brd mtg. Wanda is absolutely correct in what she said about the bucket truck & private property. The police can be directed by the sch district to ticket the truck. The sch district didn't have a problem some time back calling an officer to ticket kids playing in the M.R. Reiter playground. There is even a sign on the lot that says that vehicles will be towed at the owners expense. I heard what was said about perhaps breaking something during towing. The towing company knows if they are capable of towing a truck such as the one being talked about. Unlikely though it is, even if there was damage during towing, it would be the responsibility of the towing company (who is insured for such things) and not the sch district to take care of this. I would question if Ferrara actually contacted the owner at all. What he said about the situation just doesn't sound right.

Agreed, once the school district called a towing company, any liability & payment is between the owner of the truck and the towing company. Makes me think Mr. Ferrara thinks we're all stupid. This is basic stuff. If he needed a legal opinion all he had to do was shoot an email to the district's attorney or ask him right then at the meeting. I think Mr. Ferrara did nothing, hoping the truck would just go away and wasn't expecting anyone to bring it up at the meeting. Now that its been talked about I'm sure it will be taken care of although the ship has sailed on being taken care of in a timely manner.

I'll believe it's gone when I see it's gone.

It is gone and the fence is busted!
