Is Erica the cop who is accused of sexually harrassing her co-worker by showing him her breasts and making lewd remarks?

Anonymous said...

Now that that's out of the way, come to the meeting.

Anonymous said...

Well that undermines her credibility as an authority figure, don't you think?

Anonymous said...

Yes.

Come jaded.

Speaking of jaded, am I wrong in thinking this is just some more BS? This was said in the Facebook group for the town watch by a current council member. Sending anything to the Morrisville council is the most certain way to kill it. Why are the politicians finally scurrying out of the woodwork now?

I want to inform the residents of a few statements that have been made. I feel residents should know and come out and give your opinions on this issue. It has been mentioned at several council meetings, it might be better to get rid of our police and out source. have another township cover Morrisville. I will not mention names, I don't think that's the issue. I feel we need our own Department, especially with three bridges coming in from Trenton. But some of you may feel differently, but this does upset me. I am not speaking as a Council Member, I am speaking as a lifelong resident of our community.

I can't really understand what you're saying. Do you think it's BS, or does some councilperson think it's BS, or both? If you do think it's BS, why are you saying residents should come out and give their opinions? If it's BS, why bother?

Are you a councilperson, and if not, why do you feel the need to say you're not speaking as a councilperson? It upsets you that outsourcing policing to another municipality has been discussed? OK. Go it. Point duly noted.

Humanity discourages me sometimes.

I saw the post on the fb page.

With regards to the police dept, at the very least I believe the dept needs an overhaul. We need some type revisit/re-assessment regarding policies, procedures, discipline, etc. I think we are at a juncture where we should look at options. It seems to me that it is important to obtain information on options in moving forward.

ex: Representatives from the Morrisville School District and the Pennsbury School District met to discuss options. It did not mean Morrisville was merging with Pennsbury. It means information was gathered. This would be no different.

I'm not saying get rid of our police dept. I'm saying we have an opportunity to explore options on what our own police dept will be in the future and how long we can afford to fund it, explore merging with a neighbor such as Falls Twp, explore closing our police dept and calling in the state police. I'm not saying I'm for or against any of these because at this point I do not have information provided to make any decision. I'm just saying it seems important to explore options. In all of these, there are many questions that need to be answered. I cannot see anyone even considering closing our own police dept unless there is a police hub type situation in Morrisville. We would still need to have officers present within the borough boundaries at all times.

To me, what this councilperson wrote on the fb page seems to be based more on emotion rather than a rational decision based on sound information.

I understand everyone's skepticism, but if everyone can put the past in the past and focus on the future that'd be great. The vitriol is dragging us down as much as the bad politics.

Let's try doing something positive instead.

OK, now that I've opened myself as a target, have at it...

They don't tell you any of this in the real estate brochures.

I agree pete past is past move forward and let some good people do some good work

Amen to that Pete and Wanda!

Anonymous said...

If we got rid of our police dept we could save a fortune.

Anonymous said...

Stop fooling around. Convert Manor Park School into a Police Mini-Precinct. Now.

Anonymous said...

No offense meant, but why? Why take on the expense of buying & maintaining another building. In hearing about problems in the police dept I have never heard that space was an issue at all. I would think it is cost efficient for the police dept to be located in the municipal building.

Those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

That is all....

Sorry, maybe I am too jaded, but me thinks this will just be another dog and pony show.

Most things in life are, what with all the apathy and resistance all around. It takes dedication and perserverance to see things through. With something as random and unpredictable as most crime, it makes it even tougher. If it helps raise awareness, increases vigilance (not vigilantism), strengthens community ties, and brings more or better-applied resources to bear if needed, then I applaud it, even if the novelty wears off and it fades out after a while. At the very least, it gives people a voice and a chance to vent, which can be therapeutic in and of itself.

I pray the Adults in the room take charge.
My prayers are rarely answered, though.

Amen. I hear the toilet flushing now. Don't you people understand? Until you get rid of these do nothing know nothing people in office NOTHING will change!

Anonymous said...

Nice finger pointing, move on.

Anonymous said...

Problem is, there's no general agreement on who the do nothing know nothing people are.

The ones I think they are have supporters who think they're sharp as tacks, right as rain achievers fighting for what's best for Morrisville.

I'm guessing, because it's extremely difficult to put myself in that frame of mind. I ain't no Oscar Winning Method Actor.

As noted above, the question here is "Just who are the adults in he room?"

Anonymous said...

Yes she is, accused by Officer Smith who was FIRED from Middletown and sued them well, had Morrisville sued because a woman racial slurs in court, and who receives the most complaints of all officers put together. The whole thing is a bunch if BS and the residents will soon learn the truth. As for this comment, I'm sure it was made by Ms. Sherlock or one of her friends, since she seems to be obsessed with Ms. McIntyre. Leave the girl alone already, she is a wife and a mother and the one of the ONLY Morrisville cops that ever gets involved in the community!! Glad to have her at the meeting!!

There is a lot of finger pointing and assuming going on in the post above.

The council people that I know do not have preferences when it comes to our officers. That part of the post above doesn't even make sense.

I have had a few encounters with both Officer McIntyre and Officer Smith. Officer McIntyre has been kind and friendly. Officer Smith has been knowledgeable and professional. I have no desire to spread rumors about either of these Morrisville Police Officers.

At this time, none of us have enough information to make any decisions as to what is actually going on with the Morrisville Police Officers. Their infighting is what prompted the insurance company to order the investigation.

I have no idea who is being honest in the police dept. None of us do at this point. In time the information will be made public and I have no doubt decisions will have to be made that not everyone will like. I'm willing to wait until I can have actual information in forming my opinion.

Sense? Since when does anything in this town make sense?

Does it make sense to kill every project seeking the betterment of town out of some misplaced worry about the costs? Does it make sense to engender lawsuits brought on by poor planning and a lack of any forethought? Does it make sense to continually elect uneducated, willfully ignorant people into positions of responsibility? If you are looking for common sense, you'll find it quite uncommon in these parts.

That finger must get tired.

They should run for office if they feel so strongly. Unless they are, but if they post anonymously, no one knows who it is. This is an awful campaign strategy, ranking just slightly higher than punching a baby at a meet n' greet.

Anonymous said...

It's genius, just like their other strategies ...

- taking photos of neighborhood kids
- using racial vulgarity at board mtgs
- taking campaign lit from homes - and getting caught by the police
- crossing someones name of of tee shirts then wearing it, over and over and over again

Their success is waning. At least on the school board side.

Like an attack of hemorrhoids, they can flare up at any time, though.
