Hellmann, C.P.A. Speaks!

Governments bloated, expensive, inefficient

Posted: Tuesday, March 6, 2012 6:00 am | Updated: 3:50 pm, Mon Mar 5, 2012.
I note the Philadelphia School District recently hired a consulting group at a cost of $1.4 million to help the school district restructure and streamline operations as it works to close a $71 million budget hole this fiscal year and a $269 million gap next fiscal year.
Our school board here in Morrisville did it for free. Since we saved about $40 million in four years perhaps we should have charged $1.4 million.

Where should I send our invoice?
Our governments at the school district level, county level, state level and federal level all need a restructuring and streamlining study performed, and then EXECUTE the study. Our governments are bloated, expensive and inefficient. They need to become less bloated, less expensive and more efficient. Constant annual tax increases are a Band-Aid and a Band-Aid only and do not fix the underlying structural problems that exist.
Do what we did here in the Morrisville School District.

"Where should I send our invoice?"

Will it fit in your patootie, Your Arrogancy?

$40 Million savings? Increased efficiency? You'd think Hellmann CPA and his running mates would be appointed School-Board-For-Life. Yet they didn't win reelection.
Why not?
Discuss amongst yourselves.

Spin baby, Spin!! That's all this is, spin. $40 million in savings?!? Really?!? I don't think that's an accurate portrayal of their performance in office. I also don't appreciate when individuals make collective comments about achievements as if they have the right to speak for the others involved.

Hmmmmmmmmmm .........could that be a reason why they lost?

Anonymous said...

No, they lost because their arrogant posturing, disdain for the citizenry, disdain for the children and educational programs, collective lack of cranial capacity, mishandling of most issues touched, abuse of authority, and ill-advised ad-hominem attacks (OK, so is this, but you asked.) to name a few reasons.

That sounds about right.

BWAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAAHHAAAAAAAAA!!!

After the day I had at work I needed a laugh that big. Hellmann's numbers are always off by a magnitude and a half. The reality is that over four years they literally destroyed one school, needlessly divided the community, and stripped away our rainy day fund.

Where should WE send OUR invoice to buy back Morrisville? Crawl back into the sand pounders hole you were re-elected to.

Is Hellman running for office or something?

Hellman was going to run against the state rep but the redistricting was put on hold, meaning he was screwed out of the run, for now. I wouldn't be surprised if Jane Burger's star pupil is planning on running against Fred Kerner for the council seat the next time around.

Oh joy.

So now it's up to 40 million what a joke you stop the new school bond but what about the 2 million dollars it cost to do that oh and wait didn't you keep like 8 million of that bond to do repairs to the current bulidings so how can you have savedmore then bond was in the first place.
so now what have you left us with 2 empty buildings trailers for classroms and a bare bones school district Nice job Mr. Hellmann

Technically, they only kept $4 million of the bond money. There was another $3 million to $4 million in existing Capital Reserve funds which, combined with the $4 million in remaining bond money, went towards renovations at Grandview and InterMediHigh.

As Diana Ross said, touch me in the morning, then just walk away ...

They didn't have to raise a dime themselves. Do you think they would've raised a dime? I don't.
At best, they would've used up the $3-4 million of existing Cap. Reserve money for ultra-half-a**ed 'renovations'. Tops. If at all.

Maybe all the people being taxed out of their homes can send him a dollar.

All they want is a great big hey we did a great job on the school board pat on the back. Of course we all know they know everything and we are all morons. HA HA

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
(From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/c/coldplay-lyrics/viva-la-vida-lyrics.html)
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

He will rule the 3RD ward of Morrisville or the 140th district of the PA house of reps if we know what's good for us, according to Him, and who knows better than Him, and by Him I mean William Hellmann, C.P.A., not GOD, tho truth be told they are very nearly interchangeable to the clueless the misguided and the gullible.
