Interesting article on common core.

Mr. Pepitone and his followers need to remember this is America. Just because you don't agree with what I say, doesn't mean I am not allowed to say it.

We saw him rip apart Dave, without ever having met the man, just to garner some votes. Then is was all of council for not giving him a job he wanted. Now it will be Nancy and Jeff because he wants their seats.
He is using everything for his own political gain, including using the recent attack on two officers. It is disgraceful.
Talk about a bully - he has allowed people on his page to constantly use threats of physical violence to get their way. Think he's got it a little backwards.

Anonymous said...

This and the prior 2 blogs were around for many years trying to stand up to bullying, lies, intimidation, etc, while many were asleep at the switch. Worse yet, relishing, supporting & voting for the bad behavior. I respectfully urge people not to judge this blog on the last few months. Some good people dedicated lots of effort to the cause when the crowds were thin.

Anonymous said...

This blog is nothing more than a bully pulpit intended to besmirch the reputations of those of differing opinions. The term “Burgerbots” was coined on these trash blogs by Dave Rivella and his followers.

Also comments on blogs can be deleted and the fact that the people who oversee this blog have refused to censor this trash and the personal attacks only speaks to their true intent. Keep spreading the hate and the personal attacks, you will all end up irrelevant in the long run.

Anonymous said...

You are the bully - asking for posts you don't agree with to be deleted????! We have a right to let the truth be known without being harassed and threatened with physical violence.

Anonymous said...

The over-the-top political grandstanding is what's truly despicable and disheartening. Hatfields and McCoys, go get a room!!!

So called adults behaving worse than spoiled three-year olds. Smh.

Did anyone else notice that Brian Jones has (aside from his "steam-fitter" friends) mostly naked webcam girls as his friends? Still think he is a real person in town?
Nice friends Billy.

Anonymous said...

Real or not, I want to get to know him..... to learn more about pipe fitting.

Anonymous said...

No and don't care ! Let him babble. He is not winning friends or influencing people but to tell him to buzz off. Let it go.

Anonymous said...

Who is Brian Jones and why is he relevant?
Posts that are nothing more than personal attacks should not be apart of an intelligent debate. They have no value and are only intended to reduce the credibility of a person stating an opposing opinion. Aside from the plug for winterfest this thread is nothing but personal attacks. but you uneducated imbeciles dont know the difference.

Anonymous said...

Combating personal attacks with more personal attacks is better how?

Anonymous said...

To the poster above (Bully Pulpit), you really need to get a better grasp on this internet blog thingie. It is ALL irrelevant, unless idiots take it to heart. The beauty of these blogs is two fold, complete chaos and anarchy might allow some interesting ideas to emerge, and two, this is the really important one! You don't have to log in and read anything in here! Or on FB or Twitter, or any of the other "anti-social Media" platforms. It is all really irrelevant, unless you as the individual make it otherwise. If you want to run a censored or moderated blog, you are free to do so. If you don;t like the unmoderated, uncensored one, don't visit or read it. Also, why is it that the bullies are always crying when someone else does it, but it is OK as long as it is someone who shares their views?

Anonymous said...

You made some good points. I feel it would be more effective if you toned it down and omitted inflammatory words like "idiots". Immediately that gets peoples' hackles up and puts them into defensive, combative stances.

stayin anon said...

be careful what you post or say or believe in because it seems it becomes the new post for Restore Morrisville the next morning. that page attaks someone new everyday thinking maybe he needs to stop thinking overnight it must be painful. yep im anonymous and will be that way as long as im in moville or until its taken over by those murderers, drug dealers rapists kidnappers and other terrible terrible people that walk the streets everyday terrorizing me even though i dont see them if he says they are here they must be cause what he says is gospel at least thats what he tells me to say

Anonymous said...

I hope these same people who want Anonymous posts to stop have contacted the Bucks County Courier Times and asked them to delete or condemn all of the posts with cutesy and clever names (which are just as anonymous as "Anonymous") on their comments to articles.

No one, repeat no one, isn't concerned about crime. No one, repeat no one, isn't concerned about our police officers and their well being. Let's get that out of the way. The rest is inside-baseball bs and politics. Council needs to get on with it and get us a chief and the officers and resources we need to most effectively crime and address public safety.

Anonymous said...

Budget meetings are open to the public; they are posted on the website and yet, still no one shows up to them.
One member of the public.
And then people will question for a year why we're doing this and that...

If you have questions: SHOW UP. Don't rely on someone else's notes, which may be flawed. But: credit for at least being there.

If you want to know what's going on: SHOW UP. BE THERE. PAY ATTENTION.

Anonymous said...

You mean we have to PAY for more police protection and broken down infrastructure and equipment???

Activate outrage overdrive!!!!

I was at the board meeting last night to witness new members being sworn in I was surprised not to see more members of public there in the empty seats next to me since there seems to be so much talk about how bad the school is. seems odd to me that I can take the time to get there but many who have the biggest complaints do not have the time to put into it i watched 9 people sit there last night and dedicate themselves to the school and i applaud them for stepping up but i am not happy that the complainers do not think it important emough to show up did I hear only 1 public was at the council budget meeting too? okay really all those complainers couldnt make it over there either. now thats really odd dont you think was there a secret meeting everyone else was at? get involved if you want to help

Lets be honest,if Rivella or Sherlock had proposed a 7 mil tax increase for police in any prior budget EVER, guaranteed there is ZERO PERCENT chance Dreisbach, Smith or Sanford would have voted for it, and 100 PERCENT chance Ledger would have vetoed it.

Anonymous said...

Dreisbach bragged on the FB pages that she wasn't voting on the budget, no matter what and people "liked" the comment!?????
How can you condone someone outright saying they would not do their job?
The 3 just say no and bring nothing to table. No suggestions, no alternatives, NOTHING. And now she's getting praised for it??

WTF?

Anonymous said...

ever hear of alts? she probably likes her own comments.

When you're not able enough to lead and deep down you know it, you thwart.

Anonymous said...

The police have never been understaffed. They've had part-timers instead of full-timers - that's it.
Pepitone can spin that anyway he wants... To say that Nancy Sherlock has only shown "disdain" for the police is just nonsense.
If anyone thinks the police have been understaffed: call Lt Herron and ask.
Two years of this we'll have, because he wants her seat.

lonely sole in audience observed said...

sherlock is his next victim since he couldnt beat rivella and he cant get the chief job he goes to the next person in line, typical of a very small person.. why wasnt he at the budget or the board meetings if the safety and school are so important to him? his wife wasnt there either guess things arent so important

Anonymous said...

Pepitone is truly getting tiresome. Think it's time to walk away and ignore this spreader of lies and misinformation.

How many times did Council say- they HAD to do Cornerstone because they would have been dropped by their insurance??? They had.no.choice.
And Cornerstone uncovered things, apparently, so it was not a waste of money by any stretch of the imagination.

Jon said...

There is a chance the insurance company will pay (or reimburse) for the costs of the Cornerstone Report, correct?

Anonymous said...

The insurance co commissioned the report, it's only fair they should pay for it.

Anonymous said...

Yes, in all likelihood the insurance company will reimburse some, if not all of the cost.

Jon said...

Thanks. That would be good.

Anonymous said...

I'm amazed at how many people have been able to read the confidential Cornerstone report to decide that it's a waste of time and money.

Anonymous said...

Can anyone tell me who's going to win the next Superbowl, and the point spread?

Anonymous said...

I noticed if you stay off the town watch and that political page its like that guy doesn't exist,I recommend it.

just saw the crime stats that were post on one of the FB pages I don't remember which all I can say id where is the crime wave. The numbers are truly low, the don't support the claim that some have put forward. I'm not going to bash that person because they are doing what many people before them who want a seat in public office have done and that is to instill fear about drugs and crime, and the sell your as the person with all the answers.
but the Curtin has been pulled back alittle and I see it's all is a farce. when your buddy in the police department gives out those number hard to claim anyone played with them. I proudly post Anonymous because we know how open minded people are when you voice your opinion and it doesn't match their own

Anonymous said...

Who has a buddy in the police department?

Anonymous said...

That's because they were both at the Town Watch Meeting.

Grants and fundraising to fun study, play in Morrisville

Posted: Wednesday, December 4, 2013 12:56 pm | Updated: 1:49 am, Thu Dec 5, 2013.
By Elizabeth Fisher Correspondent

The Morrisville School District has received a $10,200 grant that will be used for reading programs for second- and third-graders, and $5,000 from a PTO fundraiser that will go toward a playground project at the intermediate school.

A pizza fundraiser by the PTO raised the money for the playground, school board member Dan Dingle announced at Monday’s board meeting.

The $10,200 grant comes through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. The EITC program offers tax credits to corporations that contribute to scholarships or educational improvement. The district had to apply for the funds, said Superintendent William Ferrara.

The software for the reading program is tailored to individual reading abilities via initial reading diagnostic testing, but also can gradually “stretch” a student’s reading ability to a higher level, Ferrara said.
“The program will challenge the children to develop second-grade, or higher, reading skills,” he said.

Monday night’s meeting was the first for new board members Joe Gilleo, Ivan Colon, and Jon Perry, who were told by Ferrara that their new positions would be time-consuming and sometimes difficult. But, he added, the work has its rewards.

“The hard part (of the job) is when you have to vote. Some will like (your vote); some will not. But you have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of our children,” the superintendent said.

So billy the bully sneaks around in the dark of night putting campaign literature on peoples windows full of lies, now he is calling anonymous posters cowards? Pot calling the kettle

Anonymous said...

Again? You're not talking about the Mike Honcho flyers from the boro meeting before the election?

Anonymous said...

Before election day someone had put one of them on Amanda Rivella's truck while it was parked in front of their house. Not on any of the other cars parked there, just hers. Seeing that she had been targeted with hate mail against her father must have been a great way for the kid to start her day. This is where I would say that she should have called the police, but I get why she would feel like she couldn't since some of them have become sudden friends with Pepitone.

Anonymous said...

Are you serious? That is sick. To go after someone's child (especially after their tragedy) is disgusting. That man truly has no shame.

Anonymous said...

First I want to get out of the way that it is inexcusable to target the family members of anyone for anything.

I too can see why she wouldn't have called the police.

It was designed to screw up their day. I hope it didn't.

Winterfest was wonderful! Thank you to everyone that helped and participated. It was a great day.

There is no money, insurance co. are looking for ways to get out of paying. This has escalated over the past 10 years. Then there was Sandy....don't give me those wide eyes...Im not talking about Gibson...I mean Super Storm!!! The whole north eastern tier. Why do you think there's ACA. Medical has been on thin ice for quite sometime, as physicians malpractice ins. soars over the past 20 years. The teachers in Council Rock make more money than my MD. Suck it up...do some research...we're not only broke, we're in debt. Inflation will only continue it's way up. Suck it up and stop looking for someone to blame. You can always quit working and hop on DPA, if your getting too stressed out. It would be understandable. Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth and suck it up, it is what it is! Thank You, anonymous....by the way why don't you google Anonymous. America has nothing to lose, except us.

An example of the kind of babble someone was referring to the other day. Word salad, trying to sound profound, taking some potshots of their own, nothing much to act on here in Morrisville.

I remain confused as to why Eileen continually talks about council using the word "they". She must really have no idea that when there is a thread where people are complaining because they believe the borough has not been salting the streets they are talking about her because she chimes right in.

Anonymous said...

Eileen is on the side of the angels, responsible for all of the good stuff and none of the bad stuff. She voted against the budgets on account of too much spending, yet is a chief complainer when service suffers. Nice work if you can get it.
