It was a happy 4th, but not for the pets, what with everyone blasting away with the fireworks purchased at that lovely store in town.

How much property tax does that lovely store pay?

The same as a non offensive store in the same location. Last time I checked, the property tax was on the property, not the business that occupies it. It's the same tax if the building is vacant.

And how much would that be?

its was fourth of july, lighten up, enjoy the fun. good families enjoying time together in their home town is a good thing. Every neighborhood was lighting the sky up and before you knew it the night was quiet and its back to work.

Neighbors describe fireworks tragedy
July 6, 2011
BEN FINLEY Staff writer
Ray Criblear was the cool, older guy in the neighborhood — the one who lit off big fireworks every July Fourth for the kids to see, neighbors said.
But Monday night, it all went terribly wrong in the Upper Orchard section of Levittown in Middletown. Criblear, 51, died while lighting an illegal firework this Fourth of July on Umber Road, officials said.
Middletown Fire Marshal Jim McGuire said that the man had ignited a 3-inch mortar, which struck him in the head. The incident remains under investigation, he said.

You can thank Jane Burger and her friends for the fireworks store. They had an opportunity to deny store but didn't bother to look into what the store carrying "paper novelties" actually meant. Nice research. Remember this on election day when voting in the 2nd & 3rd wards in Morrisville.

I would have guessed the name would have been a hint for them.

Sky King also owns the Mill Pond. It used to be owned by Morrisville Borough, when the land deal went forward it was included without the sitting council realizing it. I have to agree with above, nice research. I really do not miss those people. Unfortunately, for the town, they will not just get on with their day. Some of them are working behind the scenes to get back into power. Some of them are sitting in school board seats, some are working on elections & re-elections and one of them is our mayor.

A real land grab. Brought to us by the affiliates of people who bellow about fictitious land grabs.

Fearful people without the skills to prevent themselves from getting fleeced and not able to tell the difference between real and fake.

ok so we complain about the fireworks store and place blame but no mention of the multitude of cigarette stores? just exactly how many can one town handle and what does that do for our reputation and property values and whose fault is that? The board is one thing but lets get the real info on why we have so many cigarette stores as well?

Anonymous said...

Lower ciggie tax than NJ combined with accessibility to NJ combined with poor municipal planning/zoning forsight to reasonably limit ciggie stores to <97 per block.

Municipalities are not allowed to regulate cigarette stores in any way. It is illegal to zone or spot zone them. Its all up to the state so good luck to Morrisville. All I can tell you is to lobby your interests, but the state is making way too much money on them so good luck.

i'll add it to my lobbying activities to force the state to force Pennsbury SD to merge with Morrisville SD, and exempt anyone my age & over from property taxes
i'll start by writing a letters

perhaps you can start writing by signing a 'for sale' document on your house and move outta here since we do not need anymore old, grumpy, out of touch with reality, kid haters.

Easy now. Deep cleansing breaths. We're all in this together, whether we like it or not or whether we know it or not.

I am fairly certain there are more but Google maps shows 9 of them in the 'ville.

If the school board ran it, United Cut Rate would be named United Trust Us We're Delivering the Tobacco in a Different Way that According to the Management Team We Hired does not Impact Nicotine Levels Rate.
