Maybe they meant the Lollipop Guild? Oh man, is that Ron Stout's sketch that Marlys said was fantastic or awesome or some other superlative? If it is, she is WRONG-O. That sketch is embarrassing, even if it is only a Guild.
It seems like it does, but you wouldn't know from the title, and the scope is poorly written, overly prescriptive in some areas, sloppy and unclear in others. But at least 1 company bid and was awarded the $144k contract. I'd be embarrassed to put out a bid request like that, but hey, that's our Board for you.
So much for the elimination of one of the points of road crossing that was accomplished last year by adding the sidewalk along the north side of the driveway. That was one of the big pluses for me is that it eliminated the number of times the kids had to cross paths with cars. Ah well, I guess we're still -1, right? Was safety even a consideration?
Cheesiness and amateurism seemed to be the main considerations. They had over 2.5 years since Reiter blew up to develop something, and this is what they came up with. Sweet.
If the business owner, property owner, home owner, etc wants to make large changes to their property, they're supposed to go before the Morrisville Planning Comm. and sometimes zoning beforehand. I wonder if its supposed to be the same for the school district.
When the borough wants to begin a project such as this there are many hoops to jump through including the engineer, Morrisville planning comm., Bucks Co planning comm, etc. Its a shame a school board of unqualified people can just decide to change the scape of the school properties that are really owned by the community without anyone looking over their shoulder, so to speak.
Seems like a better spot for additonal parking would have been on the existing parking lot side, beginning where the dumspters are kept.
This is sad for the community. So many families, mine included (when the kids were young), use the basketball area on a regular basis. This is really a loss for the kids in the 4th ward.
Didn't Paul DeAngelo say at a recent board meeting that they would take care of the B-Ball court. I hope he didn't mean the "get rid of" kind of "take care of".
Does anybody recall this?
You've got to be persistent with this stuff and hold them to their commitments, yet persistence's track record isn't all that good either.

Could one of the drafting students have done a worse job? Oh, that's right. Mechanical drawing is not offered in the district anymore.

oh according to steve worob this is not just a paving project, it is a safety project, its all about the kids

The work's in progress.
The safe bet is there's no B-Ball court.
To do it later: another bid, award, mobilization, etc. More money.
