Video of 4/20 School Board Mtg. - With (Some) Hellmann Election Grandstanding

Check out the last 1 minute, and in particular the last 5 seconds.  The video appears to have been edited at the end too.  Does anyone remember what, if anything, was edited out?

Shades of Richard Nixon all around, what with the "I want to make this perfectly clear" and the tape gaps.

If you have time, don't skip the rest either.

They edited the tape.

46 mins, 32 secs in - there's a cut between 'yellow signs' and 'motion to adjourn'.

Un-freakin-believable!!!

WE JUST WATCHED THE VIDEO OF LAST NIGHTS MEETING FOR WHICH WE WERE LIVE PARTICIPANTS AND WITNESSES AND IT APPEARS TO BE EDITED AT THE END OF MR. HELLMANS SPEECH AFTER HE RAISED THE YELLOW FLYER AS THERE IS A BLIP IN THE FILM AND THE HITTING OF THE GAVEL WAS CUT OFF WHICH REPRESENTS AN OFFICIAL ENDING TO A PUBLIC MEETING. THIS IS AN ABUSE OF POWER AND EDITING OF A PUBLIC RECORD AND POLITICAL ACTIVITY ON SCHOOL PROPERTY WHICH IS IN VIOLATION OF SCHOOL BOARD POLICY # 321

How is it that Bill Hellman is allowed to waive around an SOT flier and advertise to the public to vote for SOC candidates at a School Board meeting in a public school building? The law says that you can not use taxpayer money to promote candidates in an election.
Bill Hellman violated that law by promoting himself and his buddies for school board in a place that we as taxpayers pay for. At a meeting that we as taxpayers pay for. In front of cameras that we as taxpayers pay for.
How many rules do these lawless, egotistical, bullies have to break before they are held accountable for their actions? This town needs a "School Board police" to keep the current school board honest.
What a joke these bullies are. Preaching to the public how they care so much for taxpayers and students. STOP wasting my money on your rediculous antics trying to get reelected and start doing your jobs!!!!!!!!

Hellmann really stepped in it last night. He really showed his true colors. Not for the first time - this is a true pattern evident to anyone who has been following things. What an unethical abuser of power.

Performing Board business out of his personal business office.

Distributing campaign fake newspapers with his business office address on them.

Hiring engineering firm Wick Fisher White for High School "walk through" study, on his own without prior Board authorization.

Not informing anyone about the $2.5 million cost of bond defeasement before the vote.

Sending teacher early retirement letters/contracts on his own prior to it even being on a Board agenda.

Personally dropping MR Reiter furnace repairs from bidding 5 months before the furnace exploded.

Referring in an email to an emergency situation in the aftermath of the MR Reiter furnace explosion as "good".

What say you, defenders of this? How's your moral code hangin'?

@ 36:40 -- John Dewilde debunking Mihok, Hellmann & Buckman on IU & Tech School. Priceless! Take another drink, Mihok!! Your credibility's shot.

Jon said...

You meant a drink of water, right? She hit the pitcher pretty hard while John DeWilde was speaking. Yes, her credibility is shot. So is Hellmann's.

By the way, here's the link right on the Bucks County IU website to the IU budget, that mysterious document that Hellmann and Mihok couldn't get their hands on and Mihok claimed to have never seen in her 3+ years of so-called IU "representation".

Every time you scratch the surface with them, you find that they're selling you a bogus bill of goods. We don't always have to agree, but we can do much better than this.

Then do something about it!

Let him know that state officials are acting unlawfully.

I believe the video tape itself is not the public record. The official public record is the approved (by motion) written minutes of the meeting.

Don't get me wrong, they continue to be a piece of work in the things they do, truly disturbed people. I'm just saying be careful of accusations because they will come back to bite you when you're dealing with the likes of Mihok & crew.

It isn't uncommon for meetings to be edited in municaplities, boroughs, school districts, etc. Generally its done if there is an exec session during a meeting, or if there is a meeting that is expected to go long and there is a five minute or so break to allow the folks to stretch their legs, use the rest room and so on. Like I said its normal to edit meetings, but it is uncommon to edit meetings of their content. This is just a bad idea & could lead to all kinds of underhanded manipulation of public meetings.

You pay for the entire process required to conduct the meeting and have it taped, including the parts that are being edited out.

This is such bad behavior. Where is Sharon Hughes who has no problem attending council meetings to bash them over nothing. I just can't believe that Morrisville Borough's self-proclaimed 'Historian' is not blasting the school board for their conduct and manipulation of the potential public records. Too busy being the SOC campaign treasurer. LOL!!! Sorry I had to.

Well, there's the tape editing issue and then there's the abuse of power issue of using their public office to promote candidates on the taxpayer dime.
