Stay on Coarse takes credit for everything so they get credit for this.
Bill Hellmann C.P.A.'s "don't invest a dime in Morrisville" advice is really paying off.
we got our taxes back in our pockets where they belong. home prices always come back any way. THANK GOD for this board. FOUR MORE YEARS!!!
Broken record
there's a problem & more understanding is surfacing about the exact nature of the actual problem that's why no one is saying too much because the majority is just now realizing how where and why we are faced with the problems we have we are not unique the same problems are happening all over the nation we have power driven greed mongers that sit in higher places they control and decide what will be our future the people are getting angry and they are acting out in some places because they have finally had it surface and they know nothing can be done they are listening with their whole being not just their ears and their egos they know the truth it has reached their core we are down here and we are going to have to figure it out and we should stop fighting over the left overs and crumbs it will only get worse listen to the honest experts and strap on your battle fatigue and prepare for the final round GOT JESUS?!?He gives wisdom strength and victory to all who call out to Him thats all we need
LOVE He fills the empty with promise & abundant LIFE
"Home prices always come back anyway"
What rock did you just crawl out from. Home prices will never be what they once were in Morrisville if the school district keeps deteriorating the way it has been over the last four years.
"We got our taxes back in our pockets where they belong:
Those taxes that you got back in your pockets are a tiny fraction of what you are losing in your home values.
Sounds like you've been taking classes at at the "Bill Hellman school of Non-Investment in Morrisville".
It amazes me how someone (Mr Hellman) with his financial credentials could miss such basic financial concepts.
Even more disturbing is the number of people who have been following him blindly, including the other eight members currently on the school board.
Its time to get a new financial advisor. And try thinking things through for yoursevlves. You may be surprised what you're capable of.
One of the 8 other board members, Yvonnne Ruthrauff, an appointee who's up for election, actually stated her belief that it says in the School Board Member Handbook (or some publication of this sort) that you have to vote with the majority.
How do you deal with that level of cluelessness?
It's my belief that the bathwater needs changing. There is no danger of throwing the baby out with it, as the expression goes.
Ron Stout, Jack Buckman, John DeWilde, and Steve Worob will still be there after Nov. 8. Alina Marone will be there too, and she's running on the SOC ticket.

That's what Bill and Marlys and Al told her when they anointed her. Just cooperate and vote the way we say.
..or else what?
They won't be friends with you anymore?
That would be tragic wouldn't it?
The problem is it wouldn't stop there.
you sand pound blogheads dont get it. the real people of morrisville want fair taxes. THANK GOD for nine strong people who know what freedom looks like. FOUR MORE YEARS.
I feel enslaved by your brand of low-thought ramblings. I'm too aware and not gullible enough.
Freedom cut down a donated basketball court without telling anyone, spent $150,000.00 on a teacher parking lot, and threw a great football coach under the bus.
And that was just since August.
"Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose" - that we have in spades.
Vote Morrisville Matters

You can say that again! ;>)
Thank GOD?
Stay on Course rules by Divine Right, eh? I don't think so.

9 out of 9 who pretty much march in lock-step with each other.
That sounds like freedom to me.
Then again, I'm from North Korea.
"I'm too aware and not gullible enough."
That sounds like it has the makings of a sad country western song. Add love gone bad, beer, shotguns, and a Ford pickup with a dog, and its pure gold.
Play it backwards and business returns, Morrisville bustles again, Hellmann, Mihok, Radosti, Worob, Buckman, Burger etc etc etc fall out of the power-political scene, the old school buildings and your pick-up truck are well maintained, you stop drinking, and your dog comes home.
If the "establishment" in this town keeps this un-investment (in our schools & businesses) up Morrisville will turn into it's worst nightmare - a low class, minority ghetto!!! You all should be trying to make US happy because if you don't the minute we can leave we WILL and guess what I'll sell to whomever from Trenton is trying to get out!!!
I wouldn't put it quite that way myself, and some of the language is inflammatory and politically incorrect, and absolutely no one has to kiss my ring or do me any special favors, but ...
I agree with the sentiment that we can't keep chipping away at educational offerings and treating involved, dedicated, concerned parents as pariah-enemies.
Let me restate that - we can, but it contributes to the socio-economically able, who tend to (as a whole, not in all individual cases) have higher educationally achieving children, voting with their feet (i.e. they leave town). I think this is a major contributor to Morrisville's stagnation, and the difficulties in lifting the schhol district higher. You want to try to retain these folks, not disdain them.
That's appears to be an OK situation for many, but not for me. I'm looking for more balance and more of a voice that's not currently there on the School Board.
Over, say, the last 6 months, the School Board/Admin has made some minor overtures in terms of trying to answer questions, etc. But it has mostly coincided with this year's primary (May) and general (Nov. 8) elections. So I think there's some pandering involved. Imperfect pandering, because the bad decisions, grandstanding, and lack of public input have also continued.
I have little or no confidence or trust that things will stay slightly improved post-election if SOC wins. In fact, I think they will get worse. Look who's involved - the long track record is there for all to see.
The real people of Morrisville? How dare you claim to speak for me!!! What about reduced individual net worth is beyond your comprehension? This type of penny-wise pound-foolish approach is such a factor in how Morrisville has continued to decline, and you are proud of this? At least by your proudly proclaiming your short-sighted and small minded view of economics, we know to discount your words and opinions. Yet somehow, you never seem to go away, kind of like a recurring infection.
"If the "establishment" in this town keeps this un-investment (in our schools & businesses) up Morrisville will turn into it's worst nightmare - a low class, minority ghetto!!!"
You are entitled to what you say obviously. I was offended by much of it, but I'll start with this one. "Un-investment" Someone would have to be living under a rock to not see the small improvements to Morrisville over the past two years as opposed to the last twenty. I think our current council been investing quite a bit into cleaning up Morrisville Borough and leaving it better than they found it. Past councils cannot say the same. These small investments in Morrisville go a long way to an over all picture that leads to positively being able to promote a better business climate for owners looking to locate their businesses. These investments take money and don't happen overnight, but they are happening right now. If you a better way share it, volunteer, help instead of passing along negative info that isn't true.
To existing businesses I would like to offer that pride in ownership goes a long way to an over all picture of a town as well.
As for the school board - everyone got what they voted for. Morrisville currently has a school board who is more concerned about making themselves look good to those who cannot or will not look towards tomorrow, where money is more important than education. Don't like it vote them out!
Good post, and I want to clarify that my remarks above were focused on the school board. Personally, I like the composition and direction of council much better now than when Burger, Worob, Buckman, et al. were on it.
Unfortunately Worob and Buckman got re-cycled onto the school board.
Ledger as mayor is a big downgrade, at least she can't vote.
Ledger , ambassador of un-investment, working against the good tide.
I was going to wait for a new thread but since council was brought up I'll do it here.
Anybody see the October council meeting the other night? I still cannot believe Jane Burger's behavior. I'm still shaking my head over it. Okay, I can get that Burger is no fan of the Rivella family, but don't pick on their kids right now or ever for that matter. I knew she was no good but she really went even lower than I thought she was able to.
Great, way to go Jane dragging the kids into it.
I didn't see it, but she must be a bitter, sour grapes election loser. That's the only thing it could possibly be.
Are the meetings back on TV yet?
You forgot sand pounder.
Indeed, I did. Sorry. My bad.
