Gee, I hope this jerking around has a happy ending.

Thanks for the head's up. The opposite of thanks for yanking it again with short notice.

Translation: Bill Hellmann says I can talk again and give you all the bad news after you clueless morons re-elect him.

Yes, so predictable that this message was sent to the parents who participate in the Superintendent meeting and that it was put off till after the Election. He knows there are topics outstanding and issues they have not responded to and are covering up so the taxpayers do not hear until after 11/8.
And these are the people you have running your district

I don't see why Ferrara, as usual, can't just spin it and tell everybody what he wants you to hear.

50% +1 that's all they give a s*** about, the rest can .... go pound sand.

Does anyone know when last week's school board meeting will be playing on the School TV Channel? I thought it aired this week, Monday to Friday, twice a day, but I am not sure of the times and did not see the usual caption at the bottom of the screen saying the days and times it is on.

Sorry, I don't know about the TV broadcasts. I usually watch the videos off the district website here:

http://www.mv.org/videos.cfm

Pick “2011-2012” in the bottom left box under the heading of “School Board Meeting”, and the 10/26 meeting should be there.

I'll pencil it in.
Or use disappearing ink.

It's still on the website calendar for November 2.

Maintain the facade!

our stong leadership is real. we keep morrisville taxes low and keep seniors in there homes and quality education for the children. THANK GOD four more years

It's more like your failure to use the English language properly demonstrates the lack of value you place on education. You also seem to confuse arrogance with leadership.

What an excellent point that the anonymous poster directly above makes about failing to use the English language properly. It is more than a little disturbing and quite ironic that the SOC's literature as well as blog posts are constantly riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. These are the people that our town seats on the board of education? We do not need four more years of such mediocrity! Vote for Morrisville Matters! I'm pretty sure they all know how to write and even spell properly! They value quality education!

Perhaps they aren't the best representative of Team SOC? Most of Team SOC doesn't engage at all. What's worse, not engaging at all, or sub-mediocre broken record pseudo-engagement that frequently takes the Lord's name in vain? They both reek in my book. By the way, my book doesn't say I have to vote with the majority.

Morrisville taxes are far from low. All SOC did was reverse the increase in taxes caused by the new school initiative. Not so very dificult if you don't have a school to build anymore.
What about the 2.5 Mil they cost us in bond defeasement that they didn't bother to tell anyone about? What about the poorly planned and inadequate renovations they spent all those extra tax dollars on, that you did not get back for the year or so that you paid extra for a new school?
You've got to be rather simple minded to think that a better "course" was not possible with all the extra tax dollars they had in their hands.
We need some more people on the board who can actually think for themselves and exchange ideas, rather than follow one member without question or thought. SOC could have done much better but they didn't.

Jon said...

Yep, you're absolutely right.

A few examples among MANY:

You think the High School was fully Air Conditioned with these renovations? Think again, it's not. 5 early dismissals of the whole building happened last year alone due to excessive heat.

Does the sound and lighting in the Auditorium suck eggs? You bet it does. SOC didn't address it for the 1st 3.5 years, then recently and summarily dropped it from the scope for the "lighting project" (I believe without telling the public before the vote, by the way).

Lighting project, you say? By installing more energy efficient lighting, we can SAVE money. But it's happening 3 years later than it should have because SOC let a Hellmann "volunteer" buddy diddle around and achieve little or nothing for 3 years.

SOC's accusations that their opponents or anyone else who doesn't support them have nothing good to say about the schools is a bunch of crap. Unlike SOC, our children tend to be in these schools.

I and many other people continually volunteer tons of time and hard work to help the schools and have plenty good to say about them. We are positive about the many hard working dedicated teachers, aides (what's left of them), and staff, as well as the wonderful kids. They succeed DESPITE YOU.

The main problem is YOU and the vast bulk of the much-deserved criticism is of YOU.

WOW,
I just watched the latest SB meeting.

No responses to very intelligent questions, as usual.

And is Jack Buckman the best Morrisville can do as far as a representative to the Tech School? The man without an email address?
And his bizarre comments about testing!

How pathetic.

Anonymous said...

Buckman apparently lied about his remarks at the Tech school board meeting. People who were there at the Tech school meeting know this. How many people are paying attention and care???? Yes Buckman is a lousy rep but we all get exactly what we deserve if we allow it to continue and keep voting these sub-par retreads back into office.

Buckman's got 2 more years, so does Ron Stout. Uggggggh

Due to more sign stealing that occurred last night on Pennsylvania and Bridge street, we felt it was important to alert SOC

Dear SOC: Your Supporter 'friends'/'relatives' were caught stealing our signs again last night as they snuck behind the backs of those that were putting them out. They got caught, they were Warned!

This kind of behavior should not be tolerated from either side and the Authorities have been alerted.

As you remember, this happened during the primary when another SOC supporter was caught doing the same.

We appreciate your sharing this with your camp so the campaign continues to stay clean and honest as we have followed all along the Morrisville Matters Election Route.
