What's new?

Well we enjoyed another traditional halloween in our little borough and had so much fun walking around with friends and talking to neighbors and seeing the kids make new memories.

What most of us could not help but notice was just how many houses with the Red/white signs that DID NOT participate in Halloween activities. These are the people who support your current school board, you know, those that you trust with your kids and it just seemed so typical that they are the same ones who choose not to participate in what is mostly a childs night to celebrate and have fun.
Had to mention this because so many people brought it to my attention.

It was nice. The only disappointment was that the usual Stockham St. extravaganza was postponed because one of the homeowners moved. I hope it's back and better than ever next year.

Not that I would ever advocate vandalism, but I do seem to recall in my youth that non-participating households were usually the targets of tossed eggs, toilet-paper and flaming bags of poo on the doorstep. I guess today's kids are better behaved or in greater fear of retribution from the often over-zealous law enforcement prosecution of minors. Tom Sawyer is turning over in his grave.

All I saw were well-behaved kids and families having fun, as it should be.

I too noted the high % of red & white sign houses with lights out and shut down. Not a good way to show community support.

The excuses are surely cynical, mean spirited, and assume the worst in people - the Stay on Course Way!!!

This was a letter written to the BCCT by Pete Eisengrein...Here's what it said: "It's school board election time again, which is always a spirited time in Morrisville. The Stay on Course candidates are full of their usual rhetoric, trying to scare the taxpayers with rumors of a new school and hyper...bole about what they've accomplished. But look at their record: resignations by three principals; dubious firing of a superintendent; two vacant school buildings and poorly planned, partial renovations to the others, one that now houses grades 4 to 12 which, hypocritically, was one of their main lobbying points against a new school five years ago. Furthermore, they have shown their disdain for the public whom they serve (recall the scandal where emails by Hellmann and Mihok were made public). It is time to start over with a fresh group of candidates that will listen to and respect the people of Morrisville, candidates with an open mind, candidates that will balance the needs of children and the taxpayers. This year I urge you to add balance back to the Morrisville school board and vote for the Morrisville Matters candidates."

Great letter Peter!!! Sorry but I must post anonymously for fear of Stay on Course retaliation. They know me and I know what some of them are capable of doing.

Anyone hear about this? http://www.nj.com/mercer/index.ssf/2011/10/trenton_police_investigating_a.html

Two men and a woman were kidnapped at gunpoint at a Morrisville, Pa. park and driven to an abandoned Trenton residence where the woman was sexually assaulted by a group of men, police said.

You should not fear! I always post with my name, always have. as long as you speak the truth, there is no reason to hide. I have witnessed first hand the bullying and scare tactics from the stay on course members once I decided to run for school board. Not against me directly but against those businesses who supported us by allowing us to meet the public in their buildings. Mind you, those businesses offered the same accommodations to Stay on course but they chose not to partake in the opportunity to meet and talk to the community. From what I have witnessed, most of those who they do talk to are the seniors in Presby towers and other areas of town who can't slip away quickly and are easily scared by people with false information. I only post this because I am first hand witness to it. I did not believe it before I put my name on the ballot. I grew up here, graduated from here and returned here to raise my children and I believe in MHS and our little town completely. If elected you will have someone on your board who works hard, follows through, doesn't give up, operates under honesty and integrity and learned all that from my Mother who is still here and raised 8 children in this town. My fellow candidates and I appreciate your support and vote on Nov. 8th.
Kartal, Parker, Miller and Stoneburner for Morrisville School Board.

Attention: Morrisville Matters!

Where is your flyer?

You need to get the truth out to people's front doors, whether they are registered R or D, and regardless of whether they have a blue & gold or red sign.

The people you need to win over do not read this blog!

Due to more sign stealing that occurred last night on Pennsylvania and Bridge street, we felt it was important to alert SOC

Dear SOC: Your Supporter 'friends'/'relatives' were caught stealing our signs again last night as they snuck behind the backs of those that were putting them out. They got caught, they were Warned!

This kind of behavior should not be tolerated from either side and the Authorities have been alerted.

As you remember, this happened during the primary when another SOC supporter was caught doing the same.

We appreciate your sharing this with your camp so the campaign continues to stay clean and honest as we have followed all along the Morrisville Matters Election Route.
