News Flash: Bill Farrell Supports Stay on Course

I guess he wasn't troubled by Bill Hellmann's use of public air time for electioneering.  I guess he's not troubled by Stay on Course campaign worker Ed Bailey stealing Morrisville Matters fliers from peoples' houses.  I guess his admonition for clean campaigns was only 1-sided.  I guess he's got a warped sense of right and wrong.  It doesn't add up, even for a guy who wanted to eliminate universal Algebra.

I am a former Morrisville school board member who attends board meetings regularly. I was especially bothered by the behavior of some of the people attending last week's school board meeting. I realize they are either candidates for school board or their friends. Lately, they use their few minutes at the microphone to attack or criticize the school board, which, in reality, tarnishes the school district.
It is not right to distort the board's actions or give the wrong impression of a hard-working, sensible school board. I felt forced to challenge their remarks at this same meeting and now write a letter to the paper asking my neighbors to vote for the Stay On Course candidates because the board is doing a good job under very difficult circumstances. Look at the other school districts as they cut jobs and lay off employees. Most are raising taxes to deal with their budget deficits.
This year, I'm happy to give my support to the board candidates whose names will be found on both the Democrat and the Republican ballots: Bill Hellmann, Al Radosti, Steve Worob, Marlys Mihok, Yvonne Ruthrauff and Alina Marone. They are part of the Stay On Course ticket and they will continue to keep spending under control and our taxes down.

So, So, tired of the distorted information that comes out of Mr Farrell and the rest of the SOC people. Please take a long hard look at yourselves and do some self reflection. From my point of view you are guilty of all the actions you accuse these people of and then some.
PLEASE, PLEASE stop your preaching about honesty and integrity and start acting that way instead. HOnest actions would hold so much more weight than your words. Start practicing what you preach.
Here is an example - why doesn't Mr Farrell include anything in his statment about Mr Hellman (president of the school board) waving fliers around and telling people who to vote for at the end of the same public school board meeting he mentions.
Why doesn't he mention how the video of that same meeting appearing on TV was tampered with and does not show Mr. Hellman doing this.
I was there. I saw it all. So were you Mr. Farrell. Why is it OK for Mr Hellman to do that and not OK for people (candidates or otherwise) to air their complaints in the forum provided for that. Are we only allowed to speak when we have good things to say? Didn't you, yourself get up plenty of times during public session and use your "FEW MINUTES AT THE MICROPHONE TO ATTACK OR CRITICIZE" prior school boards.
WHY IS IT OK FOR YOU TO DO THAT BUT NOT OK for THESE PEOPLE TO DO IT? WHY???

Because Bill Farrell is a Major League HYPOCRITE with a PHONY sense of morality. I have said it to his face, and I will say it here.

Farrell said at the microphone that he wasn't going to tell people who to vote for, but now he's saying it in a letter to the newspaper.

I guess it was the behavior at the meeting that set him off? Like when I came over to him and said "you must be so proud" after we all witnessed his buddy Bill Hellmann's blatant electioneering.

None of the other candidates (note, I said candidates, not sitting Board members like Hellmann) used their time in this flagrantly unethical manner.

At the meeting, I asked about the status of the $30,000 in doors that were installed at Grandview that weren't supposed to be installed. This question has been asked many times over the last several months with NO answer provided. I guess 30,000 of our tax dollars don't matter and aren't worthy of an answer, Mr. Farrell?

Yes, I pointed out how Marly Mihok made false statements about the IU budget, and that she had a stretch where she made 6 of 26 meetings (23%). That's a TERRIBLE attendance record, and I wanted the public to know about it before they send her back for answer 4 years of her brand of falsehoods and bad representation.

I criticized the Board and Admin. for not sticking to the Budget calendar it published, and leaving people hanging until after the May 17 election to find out what programs would be cut. I didn't call anybody names, or pretend to be an above it all paragon of morality, Mr. Farrell.

So Mr. Bill, Farrell, quite frankly, you haven't earned much respect from me.

At the mike, Farrell was so concerned about election "dirt". Then he proceeds to overlook heaping piles of dirt from his Stay on Coarse buddies.

Hypocrite!!!

Here's a little Al-Gebra for you, big guy:

a + b = c

a = hypocrisy
b = B.S.
c = Stay on Coarse

No Paine, No Gain? said...

To all who think anonymous comments are so terrible.

Common Sense is a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine. It was first published anonymously on January 10, 1776, during the American Revolution. Common Sense, signed "Written by an Englishman", became an immediate success. In relation to the population of the Colonies at that time, it had the largest sale and circulation of any book in American history. Common Sense presented the American colonists with an argument for freedom from British rule at a time when the question of independence was still undecided. Paine wrote and reasoned in a style that common people understood; forgoing the philosophy and Latin references used by Enlightenment era writers, Paine structured Common Sense like a sermon and relied on Biblical references to make his case to the people. Historian Gordon S. Wood described Common Sense as, "the most incendiary and popular pamphlet of the entire revolutionary era".

Dear Mr. Farrell,

You don't use email, which means you probably don't use internet, but maybe someone can send this along to you.

Remember how you felt when you didn't think your legitimate questions were being answered? You know, like during the "Sandy Gibson" era (disclaimer #1: I neither voted for her nor assisted her or any of her running mates in that election). Maybe this will help:

March 29, 2006 board meeting:
William Farrell, N. Penna. Ave.
...He explained that the hostile environment at meetings is created by not answering questions.

Remember when you thought you were getting "looks" from the board? Maybe this will help:

April 26, 2006 board meeting:
Bill Farrell, N. Penna. Ave.
...Intimidation & hostile environment – speakers have received looks from the Board. Didn't like that Dr. Gibson said he was judgmental.

Remember when you didn't think you (or your son) were being listened to? I'm too lazy to dig it up, but check out the long statement you made as a board member about nobody listening to your son's bond advice. It's in the board meeting minutes.

Remember when you asked Dr. Yonson at several board meetings to define "quality of education" and you didn't think you got a satisfactory answer in a timely manner(disclaimer: I thought that was kind of a silly question to keep asking, but what the heck, you wanted an answer, right? However, I also seem to recall that Dr. Yonson tried to contact you to discuss this issue, but then it got weird in terms of how, when, & where you wanted the discussions to happen)? Anyway, if you don't, I do.

Now I and others feel the same why you felt about the prior board. I thought you might understand this, but apparently you don't. And that's too bad. Usually people tell me I care too much about what other people think, but when it comes to this school board stuff, you're probably right that I don't come off that way. I've heard so much that was wrong, poorly thought out, and mean-spirited from "the other side" as you might say that it's very hard to get jazzed up about your opinions of me.

At least my conscience is clear that I didn't call students scum (Ed Bailey) or perverts (Sharon Hughes), say people should be tarred & feathered (Ron Stout), that people brazenly & brutally raped this community (Herb Brookes), threaten to throw microphones at people or break someone's arm (Ron Stout), ask how board members want their obituaries to read or talk about about putting nails in their coffins (Herb Brookes), send threat letters (anyone?), call people hobgoblins (Stay on Track campaign literature), sand-pounders (Bill Hellmann email), say I'll never be responsible for any child because I'm a school board member (Marlys Mihok), call a Morrisville elementary school in his charge a rat-trap (Bill Hellmann), refer to an emergency at said school as 'good' (Bill Hellmann), say "I am the Anti-Christ!" (Bill Hellmann), write a whole bad book about unproven corruption and innuendo and lose a $120k slander per se suit (Steve Worob), lie (Marlys Mihok, Stay on Track campaign literature), admit to bullying school administrators (Bill Hellmann), engage in cronyism (candidate Ron Stout's award from Marlys Mihok right before the election), have conflicts of interest (Marlys Mihok Judge of Elections/Board Member-thankfully not anymore...for now, Historic Society/Negotiations for Open Space funding of Reiter/Summerseat Park), post an internet article about an 'amusing' Bath School Bombing story (anyone?), send out fake newspapers/campaign literature with my business office address on it right before an election (Bill Hellmann), hand out a district newsletter along with campaign literature on the eve of an election (Bill Hellmann), etc.
You'll have to present more evidence to prove that the chip on my shoulder and my public statements in the same league as this.

Bill Farrell's "moral code" is out-of-whack. It involves mucho hypocrisy and overlooking or justifying his and his friends' shenanigans and misdeeds. Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Farrell, but I for one am not going to shut up, just cooperate, and stop speaking my mind when I think I have legitimate questions and concerns, even if the responses and results are nil.

Bill Farrells comments in newspaper yesterday were very upsettiing to those who know that he stood before the board last month and said he wanted to see a clean campaign, no dirt, no lies and was not going to tell people who to vote for and then writes to the newspaper supporting the people who sent out the lies, slung the dirt, played in the mud, threatened busnesses, violated board policies on school grounds, stole from your doorsteps...This is the same man who stood before the board and could not figure out why we teach Algebra in our school??? Your Vote is going to Make the Change in this Town and make sure those who cannot be trusted with your childs education are packen in November. Make a Change, Change the Vote YOU HAVE THE POWER

11-18-2009 Board Minutes

Bill Farrell, outgoing Board member.
Mr. Farrell tries to live by a personal code every day. He thanked everyone who elected him in
2006. He has learned a lot about education although he is not a fan of PDE and legislators in this matter. KEEP THE POLITICS OUT OF EDUCATION. Money is being invested in our buildings and it’s a good start. I am very confident in the Administration and staff. He individually thanked the administrators. He offered his help in the future.

Jon said...

That is one scrambled personal code he lives by.

If Nicolas Cage and Christian Slater had to protect it instead of Navajo in the 2002 movie Windtalkers, we might have lost World War II.

Or something like that. My point is, Farrell's as hypocritical and political as they come.

Hey Jon, did you see this from the same 11/18/09 mtg?

Approval, Appointment of Representative to Technical School Authority
The Board approved a motion to appoint Ed Bailey as Morrisville’s representative to the
Lower Bucks Technical School Authority effective November 18, 2009 to fill the unexpired term
of Lou Groves until January 2013.
Moved by Mr. Buckman; seconded by Mrs. Mihok; passed by a unanimous voice vote of
6 ayes.

I will try not to speak in code:

Flier-stealer Ed Bailey should resign or be removed from this position, ASAP.
