Well the game didn't go the way we had hoped but it was gorgeous day to enjoy a game with morrisville friends. Rebuild, restart and go for next season but respect yourself in the meantime for becoming a player and sticking with it. Thanks Dogs!

BAL football: Bristol 40, Morrisville 0
Warriors' streak continues

BRISTOL — The way Kennedy Davis was holding the team trophy close his chest, you might think it was made of solid gold.
Then again, to the players who compete in the annual Thanksgiving Day battle between Bristol and Morrisville, you can’t put a price tag on the feeling they get when their team wins the game.
Davis scored twice, passed for a two-point conversion and kicked a pair of extra points, but it was his first touchdown that gave the Warriors all the points they would need in what turned out to be a 40-0 victory.
Winning the game meant a lot to every Bristol player; there were several reasons why it meant a little bit more to the 6-foot, 165-pound senior.
“We hadn’t lost in 12 years and we didn’t want to start now,” said Davis, who finished the day with 48 yards rushing on just four carries and scored on runs of 2 and 36 yards. “Looking back, my dad played on one of these teams, my uncle played on one of these teams, and I’m just glad to follow in their footsteps.”
Morrisville’s players were dejected after the post-game handshakes, but nobody typified the effort the Bulldogs put into the game than running back Raimey Valdez. One of only five seniors on the roster, he gained 65 yards on 16 carries, including a 21-yard burst up the middle in the fourth quarter.
The thing that set him apart from his teammates was the way he was gingerly walking off the field on a very sore right ankle.
“I hurt it in our last game,” Valdez said. “I don’t know how I (played the this whole game), but I just worked hard.
“I wanted to do it for my teammates and my coach. I got it taped and my ankle wrapped, but I said I was going out until I broke my ankle or saw the blood coming out.”
Davis broke the scoreless tie when he bulled in from two yards out with just 11 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Also the team’s place-kicker, he lined up in standard kick formation, but took a direct snap from center and threw the two-point pass to wide receiver Morray Kanneh in the back of the end zone.
Kanneh was also on the receiving end of the play that broke Morrisville’s back.
With 3 minutes, 19 seconds to go in the first half, Warriors quarterback Trevor Leone pitched the ball to tailback Donte Simmons. Standing in front of his own bench, Simmons fired a perfect strike to Kanneh in stride at the 15, and the senior raced the rest of the way to complete the 52-yard touchdown.
Warriors coach George Gatto laughed when asked about the trick play that turned the game around.
“Quite honestly, it was the perfect time to run that play,” Gatto said. “We knew their corners were going to come up hard.
“We were struggling on moving the football (because) they were bringing nine or 10 in the box, and that’s a credit to them. They were dictating what we could do on offense and, as an offensive coach, you don’t want anybody dictating what you can do, so we elected to run that play.
“Donte made a perfect throw, Morray made a great catch, and that kind of took some of the steam out of Morrisville.”
Bulldogs coach Bill Quill was happy with the way his team moved the ball at times in the first quarter, but not how two of their drives ended.
“I think it’s a different ballgame if we don’t turn the ball over,” Quill said. “In the beginning of the first quarter, we had two fumbles when we were driving the ball, and that’s the story of our season.
“We make mistakes, we shoot ourselves in the foot and the other teams take advantage of it.
“We changed up a couple of our blocking schemes at halftime, but George did a good job with his boys. He’s been doing it for 30 years, so he has them very, very well coached, and he has a good group of kids on that team, as we do, but it just snowballed in the second half.”

Ok Bulldogs you didn't win yesterday, but you all worked at becoming a new Bulldog team this year. Now continue to workout together for the next season. Learn from Coach Quill and his team of coaches and you will come back stronger next year. Hold your heads high. You are Bulldogs. Morrisville Bulldogs. Be proud of that. It will stay with you forever. So Bulldogs I am asking you to come out and march through the streets of Morrisville with the Cheerleaders, Color Guard and Band for Winterfest. Wear your Bulldog colors proudly. Morrisville is very proud of you!

Must be the coaching? Come on this is a new coaching staff. Also a team of younger students. Let's give them this year as a learning and coming together as a team year. If you are a true Bulldog you will support them instead of putting them down. I am behind you Bulldogs 100%. You keep working as a team through the off season. You will come back bigger and better next year.
